Myanmar — Faces and Journeys
Documentary Photography Project
A photographic journey through Myanmar, tracing faces, movements, and everyday life across different regions and cultural landscapes.
Myanmar is a land of deep contrasts, where history, faith, and daily existence intersect in powerful and often fragile ways. From the golden temples of Bagan to remote villages and river crossings, these portraits and scenes reveal the quiet strength, grace, and vulnerability of a people navigating between tradition and change.
The images move between spirituality and routine, between stillness and movement, exploring themes of resilience, devotion, migration, and cultural diversity. What emerges is not a description of a place, but a series of human encounters shaped by light, distance, and waiting.
This work seeks to offer an intimate and respectful نگاه (gaze) into Myanmar’s complex identity, where the timeless beauty of its traditions coexists with the uncertainties of the present.
